Sustainable Design and Green Architects in Asia | Peter Williams | IBM Big Green Innovations
By Editor on 21/12/2012
Peter Williams explains the principles of a green design, the attractiveness of an Asia market, and the risk of being a green architect in Asia.
Combining green design and early sustainability can actually produce an integrated and elegant architecture or buildings, i.e. through the proper use of solar PV and facade design. Asian market is now growing robust – clients gain more awareness towards sustainability and high performance buildings, developers are aggressively attracting tenants who are asking for energy savings to create optimal environment for higher productivity. Green architects in Asia are however facing main challenges related to the current global economy, financial spinoffs to the industry and limited construction budget.
